Texans Can Now Get Blue Bell Ice Cream Delivered via Drone

Wing, a subsidiary of California-based Alphabet Inc (the company that ‘owns’ Google), began delivering things via drone today in Friso, TX and Little Elm, TX with eyes on expanding the service across the DFW metro and state soon. The Wing drone delivery service is currently delivering in partnership with several brands including Walgreens, EasyVet, Texas Health, and most importantly Blue Bell.

Wing will deliver about 100 items from a local Walgreen’s, prescription pet medications from EasyVet, first aid kits from Texas Health, and any flavor of ice cream you want from Blue Bell. They even promise the ice cream will stay cold during our legendary hot Texas summers.

While drone delivery is still fairly new and in testing, this could be a great way to make sure ice cream arrives at your next family barbecue or for a kids birthday party or for you just laying in a hammock in your backyard (we won’t judge).

Only these Frisco neighborhoods are eligible for Blue Bell delivery currently:

  • Starwood
  • Estates on Legacy Drive
  • The Lakes
  • Heritage Lakes
  • Villas at the Lake on Legacy Drive
  • Stonebriar North
  • Stonebriar Village
  • Stonebriar Creek Estates
