Meetings include their formal meeting agenda and a community service project chosen by the 4-H Hale County Council Planning Committee. The community service project chosen for the current session included sewing hats and placing embellishments for Operation Christmas Child. Forty hats will be included to accompany 40 Christmas boxes sent overseas to provide gifts for children waiting to be adopted.
Hale County is also currently serving in a district challenge making fleece blankets as part of a District 2 Community Service Challenge. This current challenge is running through Dec. 1. If you would like to help Hale County in this challenge by donating fleece, please contact the Hale County Extension office for your donation at 806-291-5267. All fleece blankets will be donated towards families in need locally and through the district.
